Any opinions on the Winchester Select 101 that they are selling on CDNN for $999- they seem to be pretty well regarded on www.Shotgunworld.com I am sort of half looking for a decent O/U and not sure I want to spend the $ on a B gun. I realize that they are only available in 28" barrel length Thanx for any input.

I guess they would be OK to hunt with, but I don't really know anything about them. The older Jap 101 is a different gun, so there's no realy history on the Select yet. But, at that price and based on the maker, it's got to be better than most other guns in that price range.... that would be my best guess. As long as simple parts like firing pins and ejectors are available... hey, why not.
