    AR's are banned. No new ones may be brought in after the ban starts, so get your lowers now.

    Depends on what kind of stripped lower :D

    Also probably depends on what you are going to put on top of the lower.

    I skimmed it last night and thought the HBARS were exempt as before.

    Glad I got my Colts when I did....

    I could be mistaken, but I believe that's how the passed version is worded.

    Anything that you currently own or have paperwork submitted beforehand is GTG, AFAIK.

    OK. So every currently regulated long gun will be banned plus all those that fail the features test. But there are still a number of military style sporting rifles out there that would appear to be legal for purchase in Maryland, right?

    Nope.

    All AR's, regardless of make or model are banned as of Oct. 1st.

    Buy now, cry later.

    I don't know about that

    ASSAULT LONG GUN” MEANS ANY ASSAULT WEAPON LISTED 30 UNDER § 5–101(R)(2) OF THE PUBLIC SAFETY ARTICLE.

    5-101(R)(2) --
    (xv) Colt AR–15, CAR–15, and all imitations except Colt AR–15 4 Sporter H–BAR rifle;

    Is that current law, or SB281?

    Current law, yeah I know HBAR's are exempt. But under SB281..., they still dodge the bullet?

    they took the current law for "regulated" rifles and banned them. At least that is the way it looked in the SB281 house markups that i had looked through.
