As I recall (but forget the details offhand), Utah is bound by statute to get your permit to you within a fixed timeframe.

I'm sure one of our fine instructors will refresh our collective memory on this.

60 days from the time they cash check/charge card.

Nice, they charged my card on the 23rd so I'll start counting down. I won't be in VA till July so it looks like the timing should be good. I just need to get my order in soon for my Crossbreed. Another quick question hopefully someone can answer for this CCP noob. Can anyone tell me the difference between a state having reciprocity with the Utah CCP and a state simply recognizing it. Thank you.

    1. Reciprocity agreements change frequently (ie NM, FL, NV )
    2. Different expiration dates guarantee continuity of coverage if a problem occurs
    3. Compliance with Fed. GFSZA ie have a state issued permit where school is located.

    Florida Fingerprint Card question..

I recently attended the Utah Non-Resident CCW Course at the Salisbury Gun Club (April 29th) - a big Thank You to Perrin Lewis for an excellent, and very informative course! Lots of questions were asked and answered, and the folks from Genesis Firearms provided great service and a very comprehensive training course.

Perrin mentioned during the class that anyone applying for a Florida permit *must* notate on the back of the fingerprint card the name and address of the Law Enforcement agency doing the printing. There is no space for that information on the back of the card....and I can't find anything in the application packet about that.

Anybody know anything about this? Should I just write the name and address somewhere on the back of the card?

    Thanks for any info.

I have the cards Florida mailed to me, and there is no space on the reverse of the card.

    Thanks for the response, tho.

It doesn't state on the card to do it. FL just does it that way.

I does day, however, in the instructions to write it in the "blank area in the upper right corner" of the back of the fingerprint card. It's not easy to find, but with a little time and extra perusal, I found it.

    Thanks to all who responded.
