    Hi,

I'm not sure what you mean by certified. Can you give us a little more info?

Does he already own a gun?

    How old is he?

Going to the NRA website will help out a bunch. You can find places that offer handgn training and basic safety courses which are a MUST for any shooter.

The Md State Police is where he'll need to go to get an armed guard permit. The licensing division is located at the Jessup Barracks on Rte 1 about a block from rte 175.
