So my buddy is interested in possibly getting a steyr aug or a decent copy but he's left handed. Has anyone seen any for sale or know who may be selling one? Also, what's the average market price for one now?

The A3 can be had for $1800 to $2400. The A1 is about 3k and up.

Im not 100% sure they sell new from factory a left hand

You can get a "right hand" and purchase a left hand bolt for it. Move the ejection port cap from the left to the right. So no matter who shoots it, its as simple as changing the bolt and moving a plastic cover a couple inches.

I think PJ investments has the bolts in stock.

I don't know about the current US made ones, but IIRC, the original ones can be converted to/from left handed fairly easily. There is an ejection port on each side.

Yes, this I know, just figured it'd be easier to buy a left handed one then have to purchase another bolt but that may be what he's forced to do.

I didn't think that a new bolt was required, but it was a long time ago.

2A Sales is an authorized Steyr dealer. Maybe they could order you one.
