With that said, you are better off getting a MAC in .380 or something else in .357 SIG. .357 SIG is an awesome caliber with a lot of ammo to be found, but costs are higher than 9 or 40...sometimes by a lot.

I'll throw this out there, the ammo is always expensive, but 5.7x28, and what about 7.62x25 (Tok ammo used to be cheap)?

why you would buy a rifle based solely on the current availability of the most common ammo is beyond me. The ammo situation will be temporary, owning that rifle could be long term. Buy the right tool for the right job, worry about ammo later. I just bought a ps-90. don't have any ammo for it, don't know where i'm gonna get it. but i want the rifle, not the ammo.

There also the Marlin Camp Carbines in 9mm and .45. The 9mm version takes S&W 59xx mags, the .45 version 1911 single stack mags.

Again, not easy to find, and not cheap when you find one.

I had a 9mm and like an idiot I sold it, wish I didn't. Great guns.

Kel tec sub2k are great as well, but even now I haven't seen many available.

I also owned a high point 995 at one time. Aside from the trigger (felt better triggers on a nail gun) and the fact that it only took single stack 10 round mags, it was ok. Wasn't terrible accurate but it did go bang every time.

There is alot of 5.7 ammo out there, You just have to look around a bit.
