As we all know, the House passed SB281 yesterday, the next step is it goes back to Judicial Proceeding (JPR) in the Senate. JPR will look at the bill and either pass it out to the floor or refer it for conference committee.

So, We need to move all resources to contacting everyone on the Senate Judicial Proceedings Committee. When you call, ask them when will they review the amendments to SB281 in JPR so that they can be there to observe the committee meeting.

The incorrect answer is, "it has already been heard."

    In Addition call/fax/e-mail the following:

    Brochin
    Middleton
    DeGrange
    Miller

    Drop the hammer folks.

For the Alamo Group, we need a list of their donors and start contacting them.

Is there any debate in the JPR or just a quick vote as to where to send it next? Can there be a reading of the legislature on the same day that the JPR does their vote? i.e. if JPR votes today and sends it to the floor can the Senate vote today?

Stop creating so many threads... people don't know where to look ;)

This is important folks, please contact members of the Senate Judiciary IMMEDIATELY and demand that they notify you when SJP will convene to discuss 281.
Spoke with Getty's assistant Josh. He had no idea when it would come up.

He said Nancy Jacobs was currently talking about how prostitution should be added to the list of offenses that could have a PBJ expunged. Our side is trying to drag this out as long as possible in hopes of any chance to kill this hideousness.

I'm assuming you're in the Senate Building, dblas? (or were) — does anyone else have plans for showing up in the galleries?
