Actually that was a weak showing by Hillary by historical standards.

PG usually gives high 80's, on track with 89.3%.

MoCo usually gives about 80%, fell to73.4%.

Balt City usually gives low 90's, fell to 87.3 .

The next question is what are the numbers for Stien, and lesser extent Johnson in those jurisdictions?

Would be interesting to see where the shift is coming from. North County has always seemed to lean democrat although I think it's a working class type of lean. Which is why you often see Republicans as their council people and a lot of time North County will go (R) for county exec now as well. Leoturd was one example. You also have a lot of transient population moving in and out of Brooklyn all the time. When I worked some special projects up there for the department some of the schools were close to a 40% transient rate during the school year (kids that would move in or out of the city during the school year). And that was before they tore down the high rises in the city. It's a very common pattern for some people up there to hop from one rowhome to another every few months getting evicted and they really don't care which side of the line they land on.

You also have a lot of people moving in to the central and south county from more liberal areas. The beltway liberal staph infection didn't seem to move there as quickly as it did to HoCo, but it's moving in now.
