If a firearm is now banned, does that mean I can no longer own it or that I can't buy one in MD after it's banned?

Can I still take a banned rifle to the range, even if it has 2 evil features?

Sorry if this sounds dumb, I'm trying to get my head around this.

Any currently regulated firearm that will become banned under 281 is still legal for you to possess, but you cannot transfer it.

I believe there's still some question as to whether or not the law will prevent you from making a banned configuration (folding stock w/ flash hider) from a stripped lower if the gun is not already in that configuration prior to October, but anything you have right now is fine and will be grandfathered.
