There are two companies that make M die funnels for the Dillon press. They aren't cheap but what is these days.

Fascinating. I'll have to explore that more when I convert over to 45 ACP. I'm using the DAA powder funnel for 9mm, which is an improvement to be sure.

I am using this one in combination with my bullet dropper. Cases do come off smoother so less powder spilled.

Went to the range and test-fired my newest 300 AAC sub recipe. Success! 200gr coated on top of 11gr CFE BLK for the win. My 8.5" pre-ban SBR cycled and stabilized them just great, and they sounded like they were subsonic when I used a can. Loaded up another 70 last night on the Lee Classic Turret, will be chrono'ing them to see exactly what I've got.

How do you makes sure it gets in the case mouths?

I use one of the plastic shoe boxes from Target.

I just toss them in, spray, shake, and dump in the case feeder.

I don't worry about getting it into the case mouth. Enough gets it.

And with lanolin/alcohol, I don't wait for it to dry, and never had a problem.

I spray my brass in a large plastic Tupperware salad type bowl. I shake it up and then place it in front of a small fan which dries the alcohol really fast.

It's funny the things we adapt to use in the reloading room.

I have this tin canister that we got somewhere - I think maybe it was a gift from my wife's aunt with nuts or cookies in it. It seemed like a nice tin - about the size of a big coffee can - and I was reluctant to just throw it away so I kept it. It sat on a shelf for who knows how long, and that became my One-Shot "tumbler" - it's loud, but it gets the job done. :)

Haven't been at the range as of late so all my ammo boxes are all stocked up. I been processing and priming 223 and 308 cases all week and storing them in ziplocks for the next mass reload session.

Aside from that, I started sorting a 5 gallon bucket full of brass. 223 and 9mm brass a plenty.

The lanolin and alcohol spray is working well. I think I need to spray in to something rather than just use reloading trays. Comes out with thick enough droplets it’s making a bit of a mess. But it works well if it get sufficient amounts in to the case necks and let it dry awhile. Works still wet, but not as well (kind of sticky on the return stroke).

Have to pause a few days for a major house renovation project, but I’ve resized about 1100 223/5.56 cases and trimmed about 90” of them. Another 150-200 cases left to resize and then all of that to trim. Then need to run them through my pocket swager and chamfer and debur them. I guess I’ll be putting a movie on for the later and going to town.

I have the plastic shoe boxes around. I use them from storing mags.

Easy to write what they are for on the end with a Sharpie.

Loaded my first cast bullets yesterday. Made up 20 for two ladder tests in my SKS.

Today will be spent converting some 54R from Berdan to Boxer, sizing, trimming, etc. Planning to load up a ladder test with the cast bullets for my M-44, too.

Cranked out another 15 or so 300AAC subs. Very pleased with my recipe for that.

I also put together some 300AAC supers with 150gr flat point bullets and 14gr of Lil Gun. These have a super short OAL (1.8"!!!), but are not all that far off what Hornady uses for their RN loads (1.9"). Powder charge is mid-range, and GRTools shows considerable head room (about 70% of pmax), so I am going in fairly sure my gun isn't going to explode in my hands when I pull the trigger. Still, it will be interesting to see function+feeding when shooting for real. Wish Eggleston simply produced a shorter/lighter version of their 200gr bullet, which works quite well for what I need.

ETA: the NOE HTC309-153, HTC-310-150, and HTC310-135 bullets/molds look absolutely perfect for what I need to do. Maybe it's time to finally start casting my own. Berry's has a nice bullet, but I can literally buy FMJ for close to the same money.

Are you going to try shooting they flat point bullets in an AR?
