Though it may be time for a thread dedicated to the casters..

Ran the NOE 310-225 RN again today and HTC coated the resulting boolits.. Did some with PC first run, so we will see how they compare in performance shortly.

    Ordered some molds for 9mm .356 RN and FN for 115 and 124 gr. I typically cast .458 375 gr 45/70 and .501 350 gr for .500 S&W

Oh, I just threw a beetlespin on 4 pound test though the ice looking for some pickerel. :innocent0
    Any luck?
I am never able to catch that mold in stock. :sad20:
I opted for a 3 cav aluminum mold. I'd have preferred a 4 cav brass, but this pours good boolits so far. It was cold yesterday so it cooled quickly and was ready for more. I usually pause to let it cool once it starts getting a little too hot and then remelt the sprue, scrap and add more lead to the pot.

Cast about 10lb of 00buck and have it tumbling with a pinch of powdered graphite

Also cast another 200 rounds of .311 130gr HP in between the buckshot mold cooling off. I’m going to try Powder coat shaking with airsoft pellets to see if they increase the static charge as suggested

I do the dry tumble powder coat and it works fine, as long as it isn't real humid. It works better in low humidity. ;)

I think the semi metallic powder I bought just doesn’t cover bullets well. I’ve had luck with the blacks I have, but this purple just doesn’t stick/flow well. The airsoft pellets didn’t help.
