This was the first day shooting my LaRue/LaRue (upper/lower) combo since putting the new lower under her.

    Background info:

The upper is LaRue Stealth with an 18" ion-bond barrel and 13.2" hand guard.
Optic is a Mueller 8.5-25x44AO Tactical Mildot on a LaRue SPR-E QD mount.
Bipod is a Harris on a LaRue QD mount and the charging handle is an LMT.
The lower is a LaRue billet with a 3# Timney trigger, KNS pins, and a Phase 5 Tactical EBRv2 bolt release.

Ammo used today was 75gr Privi Match shot at 100 yds from 20 round pmags.
This my best target of the day. 39 out of 40 rounds inside the 10 ring.

Second best target was 20 rounds, with 19 out of 20 inside the 10 ring.

I think this rifle is a keeper.

NIce shooting! I am patiently waiting for my Larue 20" upper to arrive so I can mate it with the Larue lower that I have. Ordered both the upper and lower at the same time and the lower shows up first. Hopefully it shoots as nice as your setup does.

Very nice shooting Mega, and a nice rig, not a fan of that scope, but it apears to work well for you application.

    Thank you sir.
The eye relief is tricky, but once you get the proper cheek weld on that A2 stock, it is golden.

I shoot with progressive lense glasses, and most of the time I have to look over the top of the glasses and into the scope.
This scope allows me to do that, and still see (and hit) the target.

Well handloads by far will out shoot anything else but Federal Gold Medal match does pretty well. My pet accuracy load is 27.0 grains of Varget under a 55 grain V-max. Hornady Tap ammo gets pretty good reviews on ARF but personally I've never tried it. For 100 yard accuracy a good flat base bullet will usually out shoot boat tail bullets. The boat tails don't shine until you get past 200. Also I see you shooting 40 rounds at one target. Over what time span are you shooting 40 rounds? If you are shooting semi-rapid then you are building serious accuracy robbing heat in your barrel. For real accuracy tests try shooting 10 round strings and allowing the barrel to cool between the 10 shot strings.

Each magazine might be 5 to 8 minutes.
I don't do mag dumps, but I don't stress over each shot either.
Once I'm on target, I take the shot. She doesn't get excessively hot.

Once you are in the zone, you just squeeze them off.

I know how that feels but building too much heat in the barrel will lead to multiple fliers and bigger groups.

    Nice groups..also

My question would be at what point did the groups expand, start, midway,or end? heating maybe the issue as noted. Reloads will reduce group sizes that's a given and is cheaper...plus you are able to "tailor" a load for that gun.. I have slowly gotten away from Varget to IMR-8208
