    Weatherby SA-08 Waterfowler

On my last waterfowl hunt I decided my 1187 Premier was not the best tool for the job. It is shortish @ 26", heavy and a little too nice for the muck, mire and saltwater of bay hunting.

I weighed my options and ended up finding a smoking deal on a Weatherby SA-08 Waterfowl.
It's 12 gauge with a 3" chamber, has separate pistons to cycle target and hunting loads, has a 28" barrel and, to my eyes, an attractive camo pattern.
Best of all its only a little over 6.5 lbs. The current crop of Turkish semi's are Beretta 302/303 clones so their design is proven and Weatherby is widely considered to be the best of the bunch.

A couple good reviews can be found here:

That looks like it oughta get the job done. Those Weatherbys are Turkish made though, IIRC.

Correct; "The current crop of Turkish semi's are Beretta 302/303 clones so their design is proven and Weatherby is widely considered to be the best of the bunch."

Turkish is the new Spanish which was the new Italian. Their semi's are solid and their doubles are improving rapidly. Turkish made Dickinson and CZ doubles are already well regarded among bird hunters.
