Watch for a shooting enthusiast...suggestions?

My Suunto Core watch seems to be giving up the ghost.

I'm not even sure what the features might be for a watch suited for shooting enthusiasts. I shoot a little bit of everything...handgun, shotgun, rifle. I'm guessing that a watch that helped with long range precision shooting might be a possibility. Anyone have any thoughts, suggestions and rationale for a watch that might be a tool to be used by a shooting enthusiast?

I'm a basic tell the time, and just maybe have built in stopwatch kinda guy , so help me out .

The above sounds impressive, but what's that mean / potentially do for you ?

I’ve always been fairly utilitarian

Casio for a while, timex more recently.

last 3 years, Fitbit for health reasons. On my 3rd since dec ‘19. (6 months, 18 months, current one just under a year) timex in the gap.

not sure if a got the smart watches offer access to apps for ballistics. if you do range shooting or reloading, I guess that could be something to consider

Stopped wearing a watch when I retired from the military. For 15-20 years before that I wore a Timex Ironman.

Nowadays, if I want to know the time I just look at my phone, which also pairs with my chronograph and has ballistics and target analysis software. If I wore a watch now it would just be a fashion statement.

What did your Suunto Core do for you as a "shooter"? I dunno, for long range shooting, seems to me a Kestrel is a better investment than a watch.

This. There isn’t a watch that will help for shooting (especially long range), that’s what ballistic apps and a Kestrel are for.
But a watch you like and enjoy it.

LOL, I’m going to an annual 50-yard rimfire rifle match shoot tomorrow morning where the targets are, SINGLE CANDY CORN kernels!

If there is a wrist watch that’ll help give me an advantage shooting candy corn kernels at 50 yards I need one!
