It seems to already be disappearing...and there has been no further mention of a suppressor by the police, from what I'm hearing.

Why do these attacks always seem to take place close to when an "exercise" is planned? Perhaps another false flag incident intended to go after suppressors!

Which group is making a better case to the undecideds who hold the fate of legislation within their grasp?

    • The people call for regulation when a business, church or club is shot up almost every week.
    • The people who call "false flag" and blame the victims for not arming themselves everywhere they go.

I really have no idea how the general public can call gun owners callous :sad20:

When I walked into work this morning some news channel (walking quick and didn't catch the tag) was stating that there are now reports that the "shots sounded like a nailgun". So, the suppressor angle is not going away. The shooter is definitely not the focal point, just the fact that he used "guns" and "silencers".

Whose blaming the victims? As a community, most of us tend towards blaming the government for making the sheeple into victims.

Respectfully, "False flags" are a ludicrous idea. Somehow, some shadowy group can sufficiently manage a nutjob to get him to kill people at a time and place of their choosing for political purposes.

If they can do that, we've already lost.

If they can do that, why don't they target political enemies instead of random people?

If they can do that, why aren't others using it to DE-escalate problems?

If they can do that, why don't they use it for health care and suppression of speech, etc?

And as you may have noticed...it almost never actually gets them any gun control.

DAMN IT! I have a SilencerCo Hybrid 46 in jail right now, and likely will be for 3-4 more months. I'm probably SCREWED... CRAP.
I hope you're kidding. You're fine, this isn't going to change anything. Enjoy it when the stamp comes in

The author correctly pointed out that shooting events are often measured in mere seconds ("To protect life, time is of the essence. And sound adds precious seconds.").
I don't agree at all with the author's implication that a suppressor means higher death rates; that part of his statement is irrelevant to my point.

However, it seems bizarre that he very specifically acknowledges that seconds count, yet ignores the fact that this is the very same argument many of us would offer - An armed citizen is often the most rapid first response in many such situations. The (FBI statistical) data also says that more guns = less crime and that fits any rational, logical thought. This is not suggesting vigilantism, it is self defense and possible defense of others in an unexpected, dire and mortal confrontation.

One would think that any halfway intelligent person, even an 'anti' 2A, could connect those two dots.

The ATF can’t screw us over with suppressors the way they did with bumpstocks, can they? I’ll try to find the article, but it basically stated trump was taking a hard look at banning suppressors.

Seems unlikely. They screwed us with bumpstocks by expanding the definition of machinegun, which we all know are banned if made after ‘86 by the Hughes Amendment. I don’t see how they could replicate that with suppressors b/c there’s nothing like the Hughes Amendment that applies.

Don't give me hearsay as we have not seen the weapon... a supressor by media terms could only be a flash hider. Also, what the heck is damming something inanimate have to do with MURDER? Oh, I forgot, criminals have rights...

Trump came out with a stupid statement without thinking... AGAIN.. and I voted for him and will again.. I am afraid of crazy and violent Democrats who destroyed my yard signs and damaged my lawn at the last election. So much damage was done folks were afraid to post their voting preferences.

nothing will change until gun owners take a stand and actually tell these gun grabbers to piss up a rope AND are prepared to put their ammo where their mouth is,,,

Exactly right. Providing fact based arguments only gives them the false impression that our rights are up for debate. This doesn't ever end except eventually with blood. Yours or theirs. Those that want you disarmed will continue inch by inch until they put us in a corner and we can either concede or fight. It may not go there in our lifetime, but it will go there. God help our kids.
This will only end when politicians fear the people, not before. There needs to be an "if this, then that" moment or proclamation so everyone knows what is coming if they continue. This goes for gun grabbers, communists/socialists, and anyone else trying to rule the people.
I'm not trying to sound like an internet tough guy. I wish this wasn't so. I don't want it and I'm not trying to incite violence. It is just my belief that none of this will get better without an ugly reset. I don't think enough people believe it.

Nothing and everything... Guns, 2A, and personal protection are evil, banning cat declawing is a great step forward, what's mine is mine and what's yours should also be mine, and and killing babies because you can't keep it in your pants makes perfect sense. - Liberal logic
