It seems that a shareholder is suing Walmart to get them to stop selling guns. It appears they are using the opinion that the shareholder should be able to force a company to stop selling items that would harm their reputation.

in the past the SEC has held that shareholders could not dictate the day to day operations of a company or company business decisions.

It seems that the plaintiffs want Wally World to stop selling those evil high capacity mags and black rifles.

OP. I must admit, you write that subject line like a leftest journalist.
How about a more accurate subject line, like I learned in elementary school.
"Walmart shareholder suing Walmart to stop sell guns."

    Sorry about the dupe.

Sounds like your tin foil hat is on a little tight. I stated what was in the article. Sorry if it doesn't please you.

I would not expect this to have legs. Can you imagine the consequences if a single shareholder could dictate inventory? Vegans could ban meat and leather products. Fatties could displace responsibility onto Walmart and demand a ban on simple carbohydrates. A union member could ban imported items. Nope, no legs here.
