    Awesome sauce!

Let me check with the PGR Ride Captain (who coincidentally happens to be my son's future FIL) to see what he recommends. I think the last time we did this we hit the cemetery about half an hour before the service started.

We also may want to coordinate a MDS lunch beforehand. Stay tuned...

    Thanks, brother.

    Bingo

    However long it takes.

Good information though, we are going to reach out to Garrison to confirm, if it's separate services then maybe folks can come out to one of the later. Will post up details when I receive them.

    Agreed. No hurry for me.

Garrison has confirmed this morning that the service for all seven will be at one time and that it should only last ~10-15 mins.

For those of you so inclined we can meet up for lunch at the Mission BBQ at 10140 Reisterstown Road in Owings Mills between 11:30 - 11:45am.

Do the federal cemetaries have COVID restrictions still? My grandparents were buried there a month apart a year ago. They only allowed 10 people in the ceremony pavilion and nobody at the gravesite. The workers carries the caskets from the hearse to the burial site while the family had to sit in the car and watch.

My exact experience 10 months ago. We were allowed to accompany the hearse, bit had to stay in car.

If it's icy as they're predicting, I probably won't be able to make it.

It was cold, wet and dreary, but no place that I'd rather be this afternoon. Considering the weather there was a pretty decent turn out to honor these seven heroes.

Seven urns and one crisply folded American flag on the table as the service starts and the names, service branch and dates served are read.

When fully unfolded those eerily familiar 24 notes of Taps were played by an Army bugler. The flag is then re-folded with crisp precision and returned to the table, concluding the service.

Safe home soldier, sailor, airman, marine and coastie.
