Chlorine gas would be better.
****Yup. Probably not the best choice if there's a fire or some need for EMS, etc.. as they could get hurt - but for criminals, yea chlorine wouldn't leave as much of a mess as ALL of those guns going off as a way of neutralizing thieves....
Halon is a lot less corrosive and is also very effective at neutralizing the unprepared.
