Maduro is removing opposition leaders from their homes.

Good thing people have guns to defend themselves. Not.

Ellison, Waters, Pelosi, Wasserman-Schultz, Schumer, Pocahantas, and the other Dems in Congress watch the Venezuela news with envy, in awe of what a "just" government can do for the people's good when unimpeded by the threat of misdirected citizens.

    ?

This is kind of funny, because between myself and friends, this is what we speculate when we are kickin' it and sipping a couple of malt beverages:

I am reading Stephen Coonts Liberty's Last Stand.

I thinks their (liberals) chance has come and gone. To many Americans may have woken up in time.

Maybe. Venezuela does not have a history of democracy and human rights, the next boss may be as bad as the last two.

It's like Erdogan in Turkey and Morsi in Egypt. Get elected to office and then declare that no more elections are needed, the legislature can go home and the judiciary will do what the now dictator wants them to do.

In most of the world rule by conquest is still the norm. Conquests is by coupe, election or armed conflict or whatever.

For those of us who have grown up in the land of liberty, the thought that most of the rest of the world still lives under either a monarch system or a quasi dictator system like most of the world through out time is baffling. I my mind why wouldn't the citizens of every country every where want the same system we have? But then time after time the people of the world chose to be ruled.

Will we fall back into this system of being ruled?

Keep in mind that many of our "leaders" don't want the system we have...

If they are born and raised in their system, why would they want a different one? They do not know any better.

Oh, and remember, in dictatorships, they control the education system, so people are taught only the bad side of our system.

Flash: In the US, ultra-liberals control the education system, too, so students here are taught only the bad side of our system, too.

What's this "bad side of our system" that I keep reading about here.

You mean "the consequences side of our system" for people who make poor choices?

I say send the ultra-liberals to Venezuela.

I say send the ultraconservatives to Venezuela.

Hell, they(ultra-conservatives) here want a dictatorship too. Look what they did in Indiana, lol. They cut the early voting stations in Marion county to 1(in a terrible location, too), but increased it in the surrounding counties. The dramatic impact it's had in voting there is amazing. 1 early voting station per 900,000 vs 1 per 100,000, lol.

Which is why we need to kick the ultra liberals out of education and/or yank it out of their hands.

The best way to do that used to be going to PTA meetings and running for the County Board of Education. That's where educational policies are implemented. Maybe still true. Board of Education historically has also been a good way to get started in electoral office. Good luck!

Maduro has a solution to the fodd shortage problem. Run Bugs Bunny run!!!!

    http://money.cnn.com/2017/09/14/news/economy/venezuela-maduro-rabbit-plan/index.html

    Let them eat rabbits.

That was basically the message from President Nicolas Maduro to Venezuelans starving and struggling through severe food shortages brought on by a spiraling economic crisis.

Maduro unveiled "Plan Rabbit" on Wednesday with his agriculture minister, Freddy Bernal, at a meeting that was broadcast on Periscope. (In the video, the announcement comes after the two-hour mark).

The Venezuelan leaders, who blame President Trump and the United States for Venezuela's economic crisis, recommend that people raise rabbits at home as a source of food.

"The rabbit isn't a pet, it's only two and a half kilos of meat," Bernal said smiling, with a few laughs around him. "Trump's attack against the Venezuelan people is an opportunity to revise and change cultural consumption patterns."

That last line is something a Democrat would say. :sad20:
