.Good news today!
HB 2077, Delegate Wilt, protects the right to keep and bear arms in an emergency shelter, has now passed the Senate by 21 to 19!
SB 1023 ADVANCES, BUT THIS IMPORTANT BILL NEEDS HELP
SB 1023, Senator Stuart, which protects Virginia CHP holders by not allowing the Virginia State Police to share CHP information with states that do not honor Virginia CHPs (such as Maryland), PASSED out of the Militia, Police and Public Safety subcommittee #1 by a 4 to 0 (bipartisan) vote! Thanks to Delegates Tommy Wright, Michael Webert, Matt Fariss, and John J. Bell for their vote!
SB 1023 now heads to the full Militia, Police and Public Safety committee tomorrow morning.
FOLKS: We need this critical bill to pass out of the House with a veto proof, bipartisan majority, just like it did the Senate. This bill is more about privacy than it is about guns and you'd be surprised as to who might support it for that reason!
We CAN DO THIS! BUT WE NEED THE HELP OF THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE DELEGATES WHO ARE DEMOCRATS...
