Just wanted to know if anyone here has any real world experience with both of them and what are your impressions? All input is appreciated.
Thanks in advance and Merry Christmas

There are a couple threads comparing these two, not sure any have done side by side fireing excercises.

I have shot neither to be honest. But held and inspected both in detail.

    KSG:

Better bullpup design, shorter barrel infront of shooter, great for rounding corners in a home definese situation.

Overall better balance with more weight towards the rear.

Feels fairly robust, but has some of the usual Keltec tuperware feel in some ways. Plastic trigger sucks.

Bolt release position infront of trigger guard is cumbersome, training probably could overcome this.

    I really like this cannon.

    UTS:

    Nose heavy

    Cumbersome feel

Better trigger feel, better mechanical feel

Overall feels better built, suspect it feels better on the shoulder to shoot.

Really like the Marine version, not crazy about the paintjob but the internal chrome and maricoate work will make it last forever in salt spray. Probably not worth the extra $500 over base but cool. http://www.atlanticfirearms.com/com...-marine-tactical-shotgun-detail.html?Itemid=0

Ability to internally mount laser and light is helpful, not sure in practice its that much better than a rail mount.

Thanks Jimbob. I have seen this comparison, shortly after I posted my original inquiry. Santa decided to bring me the UTS for Christmas. I'm hoping to be able to break it in soon!

Its still ok to purchase the msg in MD correct? Want to pick up some new weaponry, but am not familiar with these darn law changes.

I have ksg and with about 50 round up 00 and slug, no issues.

military arms channel on YouTube had allot of issues with his Ksg, but at least it didn't break like the 3 uts that fpsrussia reviewed...

Then why is the UTAS outlawed in Maryland ?

The UTS-15 is completely not affected by MD laws.

    ETA:

The shotgun verbage in SB281 pertaining the UTS-15:

(VI) A SEMIAUTOMATIC SHOTGUN THAT HAS:
    1. A FOLDING OR TELESCOPING STOCK; AND
    2. A PISTOL GRIP THAT PROTRUDES CONSPICUOUSLY BENEATH THE ACTION OF THE WEAPON, THUMBHOLE STOCK, OR VERTICAL HANDGRIP; OR
(VII) A SHOTGUN WITH A REVOLVING CYLINDER.

Since it is not semi-auto, none of the other features have any bearing.

ohh ok. I swear I read somewhere , possibly on this forum that the UTAS was now banned , but the KSG was legal.

Got it now. Both are cash-carry in MD

    Thx guys.

I am getting a KSG by the way. Can't wait !

Look up reviews on youtube. There are a couple where the Turkish gun malfunctions constantly.

Checked both out today. Haven't fired them. But after the old eyeball/fondling test I like the KSG MUCH MUCH better. The uts feels and looks like a toy. Just my opinion though.

I like both but after handling them both, I prefer the UTS just because I do not need use the selector to switch to the 2nd mag tube.
