Gun free zones, gun free states and a gun free world. It sounds wonderful until the unintended consequence of only the strong survives becomes the reality. The law of the jungle, if you are bigger or stronger or smarter or don’t follow the rule of law, you have a decided edge over the weak, the poor, the young or the old.
Disarmed women enable the rapist. Gun free zones for schools and theaters enable mass murders. Gun free countries enable tyrannical governments. (Nazi Germany)
Guns are the great equalizer. Guns make it possible for the lesser man or woman to stand on equal ground with those who have evil intentions. Limiting guns in any fashion, be it with licensing fees, ammunition/magazine limits or outright banning of certain models, invokes the law of the jungle empowering those who do not follow the rules and limitations set forth by decree.
Therefore I urge you to stand with me against this bill (SB281,HB294) and any other regulation that limits ways and means of personal self defense.
