Looking for a 7.62 or 5.56 suppressor I could use that easily attaches under a handguard, but does not require pushing a button to get it off like the AAC 762SDN6 does. Maybe a tri-notch type like HK uses at the end of the MP5. Pop on Pop off.

Kind of going for the Integrally suppressed look but with a can I am able to detach and add to another host if I want.

    Upper would have a 7.5" barrel with a 9-11" handguard or a 10.5" barrel with a 13+" handguard.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks,

    Dave

The Saker 7.62 is the first one that came to mind. One of SilencerCo's mounts for it just ratchets on and off with no push of a button or tools. The 3 prong flash hider also doesn't ping like other brands and the brake if you decide to go that route is pretty effective.

The diameter is only 1.5 inches so it should fit under a good amount of tubular handguards.

I would recommend a 10.5" barrel. While my 7.5" Adams Arms piston upper is super fun to shoot, it really puts a beating on my blast baffle, even with a muzzle brake. I would also recommend the Saker series. SilencerCo's customer service is second to none, which will be required when you really chew up your blast baffle :D

I used an aac can, plus a spikes bar rail. Fits nicely under the handguard

    7.5 inch bbl

Looks like a 762-SDN-6. Can't get TOO far under the rail or you can't reach the tab to unlock.

True.. I use a special tool to depress the latch to take the can off. It comes standard with Chinese takeout....aka chopstick

Here's my BCM upper with a longer bar rail.10.5 inch bbl rail is actually by seekins. Same thing as the spikes rail. Only difference is the markings.

    "Special tool"......

Nice upper. Too bad there isn't a good center fire can with a 3-lug mount. I use one on my 9mm AR. it lets the can nestle well under the rail.

I also have a couple of Gen 2, aac m42k that uses the 18T mount. That can does not have a ratcheting lock. It just twist on the mount using a spring as a detent. That is what I used for my 7.5 inch upper. You simply screw on or off.

Thunder Beast CB series thread onto their flash suppressor.

In MD, unless you already have it, you will not be able to build a 7.5" barrel as the rifle has to be 29" long or longer. If you do a permanently attached can, the can length would be included, but that defeats your removing for another host.

You can always build one of those nice, cheap suppressor kits from SD Tactical and you won't be out a ton of dough.

No problem for me actually. I have an M16 to put it on. No length restrictions as far as I know.
