The birthday bunny brought me a new ultrasonic cleaner as my older one had gone west. This is the one I have now.

I have used it about 10 times including cleaning 5 suppressors. I am very happy with the way it heats and cleans. I have read where some buyers thought it cleaned too slow but my experience is that it heats just fine. From room temp to 50*C, it takes about 25 minutes which I think is reasonable for such a small package. As for size, it works for me as I can put my longest suppressor, a Griffin Paladin 300 in it as well as the slides off my pistols.

The best test was with my Dead Air Mask .22 can which was loaded with carbon and lead. Just for the hell of it, I put it in carb cleaner, didn't do anything, tumbled with walnut shells for two hours, didn't do much and put it in the US for a 30 minute cycle. I used a 50/50 Simple Green and water in a plastic baggy and when I took it out, it was probably 99% clean. One baffle had a little lead on the outside near the center.

I'm a happy camper and can recommend this ultrasonic cleaner.

what if anything do you do to the liquid to get the crap out and re-use it, like straining etc? or do you just flush it?

my ultrasonic is full of kroil but it is a pain to pour it into/through a strainer with a coffee filter or two in it.

Yup ultrasonic cleaners are the bomb. I purchased one about 3 weeks ago to replace my old shaker that went south. I put my K40 in a plastic bag with some lemi shine, dish soap and distilled water. This keeps the oils and trash out of the cleaner. Then put the bag in the ultrasonic cleaner filled with distilled water. 20 minutes late the stuff in the bag was black. Took out the gun and it looked brand new, broke it down dried it and oiled it. Plan on doing this at least once a year. Also cleaned my wife's Jewlery got on the good list for that.

I drain the bag into a couple gallon jug and take it to an anti freeze disposal site.

There's also a high end version of Simple Green

    Sinple Green Extreme

Supposedly better for metals with less corrosive effect. I've used it with good success, and it's recommended by Clandestine.

Hope I'm not being blind, but I'm still not seeing a link or what make/model of cleaner it is? I have a couple of older ones from Frankford Arsenal, and wonder how they compare to the new ones. From the labels on the bottom, they look like they were actually made by Intertek. One of them is a little ultrasonic only, and the other is much bigger and also does heat.
