I would like to start a discussion about what is really happening around Towson. From what I have seen most things in our area do not get reported on the news.

Last night just off Dulaney Valley Road in Hampton my 80-year-old aunt had someone come into her house. They stole her purse and when she went outside to investigate. A large, hooded male was standing around the corner and stole her cell phone out of her hand. The police were called, and I was over shortly afterward. We saw two cars pull up and watched us for a while and then left. I think they decided she was no longer an easy target.

This happened around 8pm. We called the police back with the location of the cell phone in Baltimore city around 11pm. The police did not come until 1:30pm.

I don’t know how to put this as delicately as I’d like to but, we should be discussing the well established and proven reality they will very likely (are going to) return!

Do Criminals Target a Specific Age Group?

The bad guys know that as our age increases, our ability to defend ourselves decreases:

Up date apparently they were back to night. Near Hampton mansion. This time police came in 3 minutes. With canine unit. And park police. I hope the catch them. Still want to know why that didn't happen last night.

I’m in Towson. My truck has been broken into twice now. Steer clear of the mall.

I'm sure plenty of criminals in the city have their own transportation. And let's not pretend that the county doesn't have its own criminal element. The people stealing catalytic converters out of cars in Cockeysville probably aren't carrying them on the light rail or MTA buses!

Having said that, there at least anecdotally seems to be an uptick in crimes like carjackings and other armed robberies up the York Rd. corridor through and beyond Towson.

Michael S, I don't mean to be crass, but did your aunt vote for the likes of Johnny Olshieewski ?

If they catch them, see if they have my mom's ring.. Ok, it was over 30 years ago, but we use to live off of Pot Springs. These thugs followed my parents home from the city, and we were robbed at gun point in our home. Cops then told us this had happened to another family, about a month before off of Pot Springs too.
