Was married for 22 years before I decided to leave. Never fought about money (except maybe in the first few years when we were figuring each other out). I have well over 50 rifles, a bunch of handguns, and a ton of accessories. Money was co-mingled. Divorce cost me $82, although I did walk away from significant assets. Still I kept my tools, my firearms, and my Ferrari, so I can't complain.

So currently, I am single, have a girlfriend, and I am very happy.

Who got custody of the kids? That is all I would care about if I had to go through a divorce. The other stuff can be replaced.

If that's the case, then HBAR receivers are NOT regulated, right? It specifically calls them out as not being regulated, correct?

Technically, yes, they should not be regulated. But like I said before, we don't really have any clear answers on the HBAR exception. Is it those 4 letters stamped somewhere on the gun that makes it an HBAR? Or is it the presence of a heavy barrel?

I've seen anecdotal evidence that MSP is interpreting it to mean any AR with a heavy barrel. Don't know if they'd accept a HBAR marking on a stripped receiver, since there is no barrel. But a receiver that is actually marked "Colt Sporter HBAR" should be exempt.

Until we get more definitive guidance from either the AG, the legislature, the MSP, or the courts on the HBAR issue, anything done with an HBAR is going to be a little bit of a roll of the dice. Most dealers probably would not want to take the risk, and would just do it as regulated.
