Downtown Baltimore would be fine. West of the MLK. Until the 695 beltway, in fact.

Maybe a Minigun out the side of the Subaru at about 30 mph. Would make my tax dollars go a lot farther...

And I'm a Liberal. (One of those guys you mainstream gun folks call a Commie or socialist or whatever...)

    LOL

    Peace out.

    Delmarva, hands down.

Steve and the guys sold me a VW door to shoot at, also put some old rotors off a dually and some spray paint cans out with it. It was a good time.

This almost qualifies as a subtopic - "If you could, what inanimate object would you love to blow the crap out of and with which one of your weapons would you do it?"

I always think of that fax machine destruction scene from the movie 'Office Space' where the guys take baseball bats to it but, in my case, it would be a seven year-old Lenovo laptop that my company refuses to replace until it dies. It just won't die. The bastard is like the Energizer Bunny and if I would do something to accelerate its demise, such as, dump a cup of coffee on it or drop off the roof, it would take them a month to send me a new one. Trust me, I've entertained the thought. Many times. I've backed-up all my files to a flash drive. I'd love to take the SOB to the range and do a full mag-dump on it from my AR at close range. Then take whatevers left and hit it with a few rounds from my .308 at 300-400 yards.

    Any Chrysler or Toyota product.

The 2 brands that can ruin my day in the shop. When I'm cursing non-stop, majority of times there's a Chrysler or Toyota product somewhere involved.

As an automotive software consultant who travels to 40+ dealerships per year and specializes in fixed operations: I feel your pain. Any Chrysler automatic transmission and a .50 BMG would be...a match made in heaven. A handful of tannerite in the bell housing would be a nice touch and a fitting end.

Yeah, I lived in AK for a time. It's not the magic-bullet freedom that everyone thinks it is.

That's an interesting quote - can you tell me more? I have long term goals to move out that way. Can you share maybe where you were out that way and what you didn't like about it, from a shooting perspective? Def curious.

On shooting anything but paper - I'll offer up Associated Gun Club's action shooting offerings if it hasn't already been mentioned...

    Good luck! --JB

Delmarva lets you shoot stuff up???

The location is doable, easily. I saw their website, but it makes to mention of that kind of casual plinking.

    Worth checking out, though...

Yes, we've shot up TV's, Bowling Pins, Clays, Small appliances, etc..... of course, for them to continue to be cool.... do all you can to clean up your mess when done.

AGC @ Marriottsville, will let you shoot a variety of reactive targets on the Barnes or the pistol range, as long as the bullet strikes the impact area and your clean up your mess. Air rifle bullets are exempt from hitting the impact area.

So Delmarva/ACG I could bring my steel plates (complete with hanging setup)?

    Rob

    For AGC,
    1. You are required to pass the steel target rules quiz with a score of 100% prior to firing on any steel target and pay a one time fee ($10).
    2. You must display your named yellow badge with certification sticker in addition to your range badge when shooting at steel targets.

Additionally, steel targets and their mounts shall be submitted for inspection and approval by the Executive VP or his/her designee before initial
use and are subject to inspection at any time. No pitted or cratered plates. No steel core ammo, and no ammo over 3000 fps.

I shot reactive steel targets the other day with a pistol for the first time in my life. I have no desire to ever shoot paper again now...I'm hooked! I may occasionally shoot paper if I have to or to check grouping or something.

Pretty much all we do at Monocacy Pistol club involves steel targets. 5 different matches per month, some static and most reactive steel, 6 if you count the Critters Match (rimfire metallic silhouette). Yeah we still do bullseye, PPC, bowling pins, junior rifle, Winchester NRA, Family Days, and the Great Wars pistol match. But mostly we do steel in just about every form including poppers, sliders, dueling trees and Texas Stars. Been discussing getting a Polish Plate Rack (they shoot that at the Peacemaker monthly Super Steel match).
