Thoughts on AR for Home Defense

I would take one of my ARs for home defense over anything else I have including various pistols and shotguns. There's pros and cons for every weapon that you would choose. I believe one of the most important factors is what are you the most familiar with and have the most training on. And also knowing where you can and can't shoot from In Your house based of location of family members or neighbors.

Start with pistol with weapon mounted light, but have 7.72x39 154 gr soft point for back up or if needed, also with light. Possible selections are Sig556R and CMMG Mutant.

You might have issues finding a 7.72...

Cannot wait to run at full sprint down my hallway and engage threats in my house. Still deciding if I'll use pistol, shotgun or carbine. Since this is a viable method.
