    Chad,

Reading a bunch of stuff reccomending a matched bolt and barrel.
since Noveske doesn't make bolts, how about an armalite barrel to match the hard-chromed bolt?

    Edit:
*We recommend using the same manufacture for your barrel and bolt. As always assembly should be done by a qualified gunsmith, using the proper head spacing gages.

    Edit again:

does the Giselle trigger meet this recommedation
(*When using an Armalite or Knight carrier a narrower then mil-spec hammer is required. Check with carrier manufacturer.)

Theres 2 different Barrel Extensions commonly used for 308 AR Platforms. DPMS Type, and ARmalite Type.

You can use either typ of barrel in a MEGA, BUT you must match Bolts and Barrels.

Noveske uses Armalite which means only an Armalite Bolt Group should be used. The Headspace comment is there so people dont do something stupid and not listen. Its highly unlikely that if you choose the right Bolt Group that it wont lockup and headspace correctly.

If you want to use a DPMS Bolt then get one made by Ranier Arms. DOnt use a DPMS barrel, their chambers are often rough. Even their bolt groups are made poorly IMO.

Yes the Gieselle will work its narrower than a Milspec AR15 Hammer

I am Looking at an AR10 308 as well.

$2300 with Optics and Mount. $1700 without Optics and Mount.

I tried pricing this but came up with a much higher price tag. I assume you are at 1700 dealer pricing. Would be interested in this build if I can find sources with the right pricing.

My mistake, yes I woas using my spec sheet and its dealer pricing. Expect about a 20-30% higher markup price.
