Thinking about getting into a 10mm pistol for various reasons. Going to be outdoors rving etc. Also for a fun occasional range toy. I'd love to hear your first hand recommendations! Thanks in advance!

I believe Glock still has 10mm versions. Here’s mine:

Look for a long slide for the extra potential velocity. Even in other pistols.

Boring, but I've always wanted to get a Glock 40. Longslide 10mm that is much more obtainable than any other

I love my G20 and can't see going wrong getting one.. G40 if you want to hunt.

Also have a MR 1911 in 10mm.. it is a sweet pistol.. only holds 10rds though.

A buddy is a 10mm fiend from way back and has examples of a LOT of them. I've shot most of them and I like his 10mm EAA witnesses best. I had a compact for a while and it was surprisingly shootable. For a pure range toy, buy a Witness Limited 10mm. It's a blast. For pure utility, my buddy's g20 is hard to beat.

That said, I am taking a 44 if I am worri3d about much besides people.

Another vote for the Glock 20, unless you want more of a Safe Queen, then a SIG 220 Legion SAO in 10mm or the classic Colt Delta Elite.

I second the Colt…I have four of them. A good alternative is RIA but they’re nearly as expensive as the Colt.

I also have a Glock 29 and a Ruger Blackhawk 10mm/.40 convertible…both do the job but there’s nothing like the 1911 platform.

My Delta Elite gets OWB carried under a sweatshirt or jacket in colder weather, no safe queen there.
