I’ve tried all the versions but always return to white hot. Saw a pig last Saturday and with no fur they light up! Looked like a service van.

I was leaning toward 'white hot' so most of the screen would be darker and help preserve my night vision, but there definitely ARE some situations where the other modes provide a better view.

    Ok
I have been playing around with my thermal scope as a handheld

It’s truly like a super power

But a few evenings I have noticed it’s not as clear as it is other evenings and this evening was the worst so far. I have noticed it’s really humid evenings and misty or rainy evenings.

Everything is the same color to the point that in black hot it’s pretty much a white screen. I can barely make out trees and such that on other evenings are perfectly clear.

This evening was terrible and I was getting worried I had screwed something up while looking over a couple fields and then as I was scanning I spotted 7 deer “glowing “ black and damn near crystal clear.

So I am assuming it’s the humidity/rain/ fog??

Or do I need to adjust something?

    Lol

    Could be

Or my eye dr told me my vision is worse in the evenings because my eyes are tired so maybe I need to take a nap before I go looking around lol

But damn I am liking thermal

Hopefully I don’t end up with safes full like what happened when I started liking guns lol

Yes, I think you're seeing the homogeneous temperature nature of suspended water. The fog/mist has it's own (lack of) heat signature you're unable to see beyond, sort of the same effect as glass, but with varying density/success.

I don't think you realize how hard this is going to be if I put that thing on my .22.

I liked the Hogsters, but ended up going AGM.

Yes, you really DO need to sit with it for a while.

    Here are some more pics:

Went out back, scanned the yard, found a rabbit. First sight of him, he was obscured behind a bush. I think he would be invisible to UV night vision from this angle.

I moved around a little to get him out in the open.

    What distance was the rabbit?

I admit, I'd do some sketchy stuff for thermal, full auto, and more suppressors. But that sugar mama has to be younger than me or no more than 5 years older than I am. I do have standards...

    Like most fellas…roger, copy. Standards.

A stiff Willy has no conscience.

Neither does a fella wants thermal in a bad way.

I’m gonna tell anyone who asked…DA HAS STANDARDS.

    You go guy.
