the state of Northwest Maryland?

just saw this article on Guns.com and wondered how great it would be if created the new state of Northwest Maryland....

I wish them the best of luck but it is never going to happen. The state won’t let tax revenue leave and there is no way that a Democratic controlled Senate/President will allow a new Republican state to be created and risk losing their majority in the senate. Not to mention that if they allow one state to do it there will be many more to follow. Basically every rural county will want to become their own state.

I would vote yes but agree with abean
