I've been slow getting pics, but I did get my frankenbeast finished a month or two ago. I ended up going with:

    Ohio Ordnance lower, pre-Oct '13!
    CMMG LPK
PSA milspec buffer tube & stock
    PSA premium M4A1 profile upper
    AIM v2 nitride BCG
    BCM midsize CH
    Troy fixed iron rear sight

It feels good, dry fire and such smooth. I need to get it out to the range, zero it in and see what we've got.

I got the same upper and it shoots very well. I ended up using a heavier buffer as my brass was ejecting about 1 o'clock. After installing the H3 buffer the brass now ejects about 4 o'clock.

Some refinements on my varmint build

I posted pics of this rifle several weeks ago. It doesn't look all that different now but there's been a few upgrades. You can see the new lower (Thank you Chuck @ Tylers!) I assembled for it with the Gadsden logo, which has always been one of my favorites, and the Magpul trigger guard and MOE+ grip. But the important difference is on the inside. Thanks to this deal, it's now running a Geissele SSA-E trigger, and man is that thing SWEET!

Pegasus also sells a LPK with the same trigger but standard grips and guard for $25 less. I was really pleased with their service compared to that other company whose name starts with a P. Shipping was a very reasonable $6.50; I ordered it on 1/6/2015, it shipped the next day, and I received it on 1/9/2015. That's darn good in my book.

Haven't been to the range yet with the new setup but I'm looking forward to some real improvements. The last picture is one of my better 5 shot 100 yd groups with the original trigger and run of the mill ammo. With the Geissele I'm expecting it will tighten up and I'll be a lot more consistent too.

    Fortis 14" SWITCH Rail
    Wilson Combat 3 Gun Trigger
    Aimpoint PRO
    Raptor Ambi Charging Handle
    Norgon Ambi-Catch Mag Release
    MagPul Thick Recoil Pad
    Heavybuffer.com 308 Heavy Buffer
    SJC Titan Comp
    Taran Tactical 31+1 Mag Extensions
    Impact Weapons Components Sling Quickdetach

The Fortis rail makes it feel like a different gun. I love it.

I'd like to shoot some matches in Heavy Metal division this year.

My first AR build - Anderson lower, PSA upper with DD Omega-X rail. Only thing I lack is the BCG and charging handle.

I'm concerned about the backup sights. They are ARMs 17Ls, but they don't open 90 degrees. They're about 80-85 degrees. They have silver springs, so I don't believe they are Chinese knockoffs.

And, yes, I moved the rear sight up a few slots after the pic. ;)
