First a blimp flies overhead for weeks conducting "mapping" missions, now the Feds are checking radioactivity levels over the city. Are they preparing, or did something already happen we don't know about yet?

Heard this morning (and there was emphasis behind it) that they are mapping "naturally occurring radiation" in the Dundalk area.

But it's already been done on the west coast, so nothing to see... move along...

Sounds reasonable. There is always a little naturally occurring background radiation that varies by terrain. If they were looking for radioactive source that was omitting a small amount they would need a baseline.

If something had already happened we probably be in a FEMA camp by now :)

I hate to put on my tin foil cap but you all do relize that we all get pounded everyday with significant amounts of radiation from anything from computers, WIFI, Smart electrical meters, etc... the list goes on.

and some of it has significant health effects... sometimes it's better to be a lemming and overlook such things.

Maybe the presence of a helicopter flying low over the city will make the gang members reconsider shooting each other........on second thought maybe not.

If you ever want to freak yourself out, get a geiger counter an sweep it over your ceramic dinner plates. Yay Fiestaware!

I would expect this background survey to highlight locations of Pottery Barn, Pier 1 Imports, and the Pfaltzgraff Factory Stores.

fukishima is polluting the air and sea water. recent preparations to remove fuel rods could lead to massive release of radiation. already many hot spots on west coast.

At least we will still be here in town.
