The iconic SKX007, less than $200 from Long Island watch and running great.

Excellent choice. I have 2 of them and one SKX009. I intend to mod a couple of them

    Ahhh cool!
I've been thinking about trying that.
I've been spending a lot of time on the WatchUSeek forum. Lot of info and examples there about modding.

I love that Seiko series, I just wish they made them in a larger size.

I have about a 7.5" wrist, albeit very flat so it fits well for me. But I don't like huge watches either. I wouldn't go larger than 43mm personally.

Max 46mm for me, except for my hockey puck Rangeman.

44 max for me and even that's really too big. The sooner the large watch phase is gone, the better

I guess "large watch" is subjective. When I hear the term I think of Nixon watches. They're ridiculous to me but to each their own.

I have put this one in the rotation. It's a 1973 Seiko that I picked up for $20 on Tuesday. I set it, gave it a little shake, and it's been running perfectly since noon Tuesday, even spending most of it's time in my watch box.

She's not the prettiest thing around, but it's a damned good watch.
