    Surprised that the Council and Exec let the police carry guns.
    There was talk at one time about having certain calls where cops CAN'T carry guns. I guess we would either have to drive back to the station to drop off the gun (good luck if a priority call goes out nearby... I gotta run back to the station to grab my hammer) or leave our guns locked up in the car.

    EIther way, freaking geniuses that run this county!

    In England they have a "firearms unit" that the Constables call to respond if they need armed intervention.
