Here are a few pics of one of my M1As wearing what I guess you could call "non traditional" clothing. :D

Now that I think I like this combination, at some point I may send the stock off for a camo job. :D The only thing is, it shoots so well I almost don't even want to mess with it.

Good gawd man, why'd you do that to a poor M1A? I mean, it looks neat and all but I just don't know about pimping an M1 like that.

To each his own I guess. If it makes you feel any better I've got another M1A that wears the old school walnut GI stock.

If you tried this rifle with the VLTOR stock, and experienced the better handling that it provides over a traditional stock, you might find the modifications to be more "practical" than "pimped". ;)

Our own jpk1md has seen this rifle in action. I think he will vouch for it putting lead on target where it's supposed to. :D

It would appear these guys have pimped their M14 type rifles as well: :D

I don't care how "ugly" or "traditional" a firearm is-- All I want it to do is hit what I aim at. That being said-I'm sure your rifle's look would grow on me-especially after tack-driving a couple of rounds downrange :)

Don't get me wrong. I think it looks bad-ass. I'm just more of a traditionalist when it comes to historical firearms like the M1.

What scope mount did you use, trbon8tr. My wife likes shooting the M1A but has poor vision, so the NM sights aren't the best for her. I could talk her into letting me buy a scope and mount if I said it was for her.
