Just installed the tasco on my MP25.22 and it seemed fine. Batteries good red light came on, red dot was visible and adjustable. Closed her up and the next day I went to the range to sight her in.
No red dot. Wtf? I could see the red light was on inside the tube but was not projecting to were it will be seen as a red dot. I'm stumped. Rifle was not dropped, batteries are good , red light is on inside. I do not have a manual....
    What should I look for?

Did you leave it on overnight? Also, check the battery and the spring holding the battery cap on. And are you sure you're looking in the right lens?

Checked all that. I was looking through it at home when I mounted and the dot was there, just when I got to the range- no dot. I can look in from the firing end and see the red light is operating. I'm stumped.

Does it have a broghtness adjustment?
I have a different brand but need to turn the brightness up when outside compared to inside.
Also if left on overnight, battery could go dead.:)

You pretty much covered all the bases.
Time to return it to Tasco.
If ou decide to go with a different brand.
Look sat Primary Arms red dots.
Well under 100 bucks with mount.
Been useing mine on a AR and AK for a year now with no problems other then manual battery on/off:)

I have a PA Aimpoint knockoff on my PLR-16 (not exactly a hard kicking gun) and it did well for the 60 rounds or so I put through it.

After a hour i bore sighted it on a real M4 and it still was gimped up. Tasco and airsoft can kiss my right butt cheek.

lol. never owned one (tasco red dot). used to own one of their scope on an pellet gun. that didnt last long either.
