So I have a surefire M1 illuminator and it seems the bulb is dead. Anyone have an idea what bulb I can get to replace it. Also will this work as a light if I take the filter out (don’t have NV). Thanks in advance.

I don’t have that model but, I get my Surefire replacement bulbs off Amazon or eBay (I use the Surefire website to determine exactly which lamp it is I am in need of ...). Also check WalMart.com once you get the # for the bulb you need; their shipping can be ridiculous fast sometimes ...

You might want to look at the SureFire site and find the part number for an LED conversion. I have a few of each (incandescent and LED) and the LEDs have a much better battery life and run much cooler.
