Okay I'm lost. Kind of NFA noob here. The cans/brakes I usually run are surefire cans on warcomps. I now have a CGS can, and am trying to figure out what muzzle device to put on the gun and which adapter. Suggestions? It's a 5.56mm SBR. Is there a universal adapter that will fit onto the CGS can to give it QD capability with select muzzle devices? What would you all recommend? I like the warcomp because I like the combination flash hider/muzzle brake, but I understand surefire brand won't be compatible. Something similar from another brand?

    Thanks

The more I'm thinking about it, the more I'm thinking direct thread. This can will be dedicated to this rifle. Any reason I shouldn't just direct thread it?

Only reason I could see is NFA concern if the barrel is not long enough for OAL.

It's an SBR and meets Maryland's OAL BS without the suppressor so no issue there. I just didn't know if they are likely to shoot loose, or how common the opposite is (carbon lock.)

Not at all. Remove it after every range session and clean with Kroil. Threaded suppressors do come loose frequently. Always check between mag changes. If you notice a change in your groups, that is usually a sign your can is loose. You want to avoid the "walk of shame" as you shoot your suppressor off, down range.
