I'm glad to hear they shoot this well even with the flimsy stock they come with! I hope I can find a deal that good on one, gonna try the gun show this weekend.

The cool thing about the Savage/Stevens is the ease that the barrels can be swapped out. That ugly nut on the barrel actually has a purpose, and with a headspace gauge, changing them out is easy.

This would be awesome to find. I didn't know they came with anything other than that grey Tupperware one.

They don't, that I'm aware of, from the factory. Savage rifles do, but the Stevens line doesn't. You should be able to snag a Savage take-off on gunbroker, or maybe a Boyd's, for a small amount of cheddar. Given the improvement it'll make, could be the best bang for buck short of a trigger upgrade.
