    I found a company called mast industries who makes ammo and bullets for reloading> I asked for some info on their 62 grain ss109 bullets and a case of m855 ammo and this is what they sent me

    I received your request from our administrative assistant for the M855 ammo and 62gr penetrator bullets. We do carry both. You can purchase the bullets in 1000 box for .10 each ($100.00 / case).

    The M855 ammo is sold in boxes of 250, 500 or 1,000. Price is .39 each.

    Case Price:

    250 = $97.50

    500 = $195.00

    1,000 = $390.00

    You will also be responsible for freight on these items. I would estimate freight at $35-$40 if you purchased 1000 of each item.

    Does this seem like a ok deal? It doesn't seem to bad except for the freight I will be ordering 1000 of the bullets so I can reload them to see how accurate I can get the reloads plus 250 rounds of their 855 ammo to compare the reloads to.
    Hope this helps some of you looking for some nonexistent cheap ammo.

    Price isn't horrible but, I have some IMI M855 in the classifeds for 450 rounds for $190. Thats $.42/round with no shipping.

    SS109's aren't really accurate. Serria Match Kings, Berger Target, or Hornady A-max are my go to for accuracy. Barnes Match Burners are suppose to be good too.

    I have been using nosler 62 grain varmageddon bullets and also the 77 grain and some 55 grain flat base bullets all seem to do well for accuracy but I was looking for some bullets to just go out and shoot the hell out of for fun and at 10 cents each they will do the trick. My 16 year old son really doesn't care about hitting a bulls eye all he wants to do is shoot 100's of rounds at cans and bottles and put holes in things

    For that type of shooting the SS109 bullets would do okay. At 100 yards it can be spotty accuracy. Some 109 is acceptably accurate, some is so-so at best. I shot some AE 855 ammo and was unimpressed at 100 yards. At 50 and 25 yards they may do well on not too small a target for shooting you are describing.
