Not sure the answer to your question, but I had looked the Range Office up in the past and remember seeing: Not NY, MD or CA compliant.

What's the big deal on these guns? A lot of people want one. Not trying to sound ignorant. It it a target gun for bullseye? Is it the accuracy? What sets this model apart from the others in the springfield line, I guess is my real question.
