I was just looking on Gunbroker to see what's out there. Fools are bidding a lot of money for this thing. I'm not going to consider buying one until I get a chance to fondle and shoot one and the compulsive f*ers have calmed down.

Apparently EAA has taken over importation of the Turkish HP clones.

Springfield is butthurt about an EAA social media image and is suing.

If EAA did not import Tanfoglios ID say **** them both.
EAA took Springfield's image and just slapped the EAA logo on it. That's hardly "butthurt." If EAA had recreated the shot from scratch with their own tech, etc, Springfield wouldn't really have a leg to stand on. But EAA just 'shopped their logo on a photo they have no rights to. The complaint about "creates confusion" is spot on.

If Ford took an image of a Chevy Suburban and slapped the blue oval over the bowtie and used that in Ford's advertising, would you also consider that "butthurt" if Chevy complained?

One point of order... Wasn't the CZ75 supposed to be a modern version of the Hi-Power? If so, what the target market for this gun?

It is not a modern Hi Power. Advances made in the design of the Hi Power were used in the CZ 75 but it is in no way a copy.

The CZ slide rides inside the frame which is a big enough difference to know these are different pistols

They look a lot like one another and fit your hand about the same. I think this is the major reason why people think the CZ is a copy.

I agree with Camo here. Someone says Springfield is acting with "feminine energy"! :lol2:

However, do we want to forgive Springfield?

"Perhaps all of the hundreds of Illinois small gun businesses who were forced to close- because of the Illinois Gun Dealers License Act which Springfield Armory supported- should form an ad campaign reminding America of Springfield's recent actions."

Thank you, I didn't know that.

Tisas makes a mighty fine 1911.... it sports a forged frame, slide and barrel and gets excellent reviews. If they make a High Power to the same standards as the 1911 offerings and in the $400.00-$500.00 range (hopefully .45 and 9MM) then wow.

They did not follow through with the same quality there were numerous warranty issues with the Tisas Hi Powers. Many people were shocked by this.

    Now in Tennessee ,
I get emails from time to time from J&G Sales in Arizona and got one yesterday and saw they have the SA 35's listed as in stock , But those gouging bastards are asking 1499.95 , It's been years since I bought anything from them and likely never will again

they may very well be gouging bastards but their asking price is what people are paying right now. Supply and demand, everyone is hot for these. These 3 started as penny auctions on GB but all three ended with BuyNow... one within an hour of auction start, the other two within 5-6 hours.

(the fourth looks like an auction that was intended to be a scheduled one but they messed up, so they killed it immediately and relisted)

Just like the reintroduced Colt Python and Anaconda...just like whenever a new generation Corvette is introduced and probably many other in demand consumer products. In an auction the buyer sets the selling price.

I'm still biding my time on the new Colt Python and Anacondas. I've blown my Python budget on a couple of other things due to frustration with the prices, sometimes being as much as $800 over MSRP.

I picked up a new Python within a couple of weeks of introduction last year for less than MSRP and later a second one for MSRP. It takes some research and searching and getting on wait lists if necessary...then jumping immediately when they become available. Duke's Sport shop in PA sells them at MSRP when they have them. Not too long ago they had nearly a hundred new Pythons and it took them maybe a week to sell out.

I was also fortunate to have picked up a couple of new Anacondas at MSRP in the last few months...you have to move fast as the opportunities don't last long.
