Well , serious cleaning with generous amounts of solvent , actually can splatter over your clothing , or heaven forbid , the wife's furniture , so precautions may indeed be wise .

But in a general sense , anything directly shipped from another country , is obviously under the jurisdiction of all the Federal agencies that regulate international commerce .
