Soaking a Gun ( Pistol )

If you RTI they want complete disassembly & many of the additives used can pit softer metals.

They give outside dimensions of the unit , but didn't see inside .

The Owners Manual indicates tank dimensions are 10" long x 6" wide x 3" deep.

Pistol specs are 6.63" long x 4.44"wide x 1.11 thick

Double check your pistol dimensions, but it would appear that a CZ50 pistol can be completely submerged.

I always boil parts in washing soda.
All the grease crud and oils will float on the top.
A second dunk in plain boiling water will remove any accumulated oils after pulling the parts out of the first bath.
Just be mindful of leaving parts settle to the bottom of the pot and resting directly on the heat source for too long a period.

This works best for old congealed grease.

Semi Update :

Brain Fart - It's a CZ-70 , not 50 ( but they're substantially similar )

I'd left it alone for too long with out fondling . The mag release wouldn't depress , and some rust on forestrap . ( Hey , as it was positioned , I saw the other side , but didn't pull out and do 360 inspection .

Gentle tapping freed up mag release . cpl drops gun oil has moving smoothly. Gun oil on rust for the moment to stabilize .

When I get spare cpl minutes to remove grip , pending what I see . leaning to kero bath , as being most forgiving , and can escalate later if needed .
