And picked up a bone stock Ruger 10/22 from Manchesters. I've been wanting to get one for a while, as not only do I want to build it up a little and tinker, but I need something to go small game hunting with.

Now I need to get a decent barrel, a good stock, and some glass.

Congrats!!! Once you trick it out, it will be one of your favorites for sure. A new barrel and GOOD ammunition wil create a tack driver capable of delivering smile after smile. :) :)

COOL!!! i'm looking to get my 2nd 10/22, hopefully @ the Parkville Show. If not looking for build parts. I was in Dick's Sports on Thur....$199 for walnut stock. I'm waiting for the next sale or if I can find a better price @ the show. Don't mind used either...

BPS has them on sale for 179$ right now. I know a guy selling a factory stainless T barrel for 85$ Then you can send it out to have a match grade chamber for 80$ more. Then you've got a kick ass barrel for less than 170$.
