    The general consensus of S&W owners is "If it has a model number, it's rated for +P"....this is going on the theory that older .38 Special ammo was loaded at much higher pressures that today's ammo and in some cases equaled or exceeded the pressures of today's +P ammo.

    I shot +P in a four inch barreled Model 10 with no problems, I just didn't feed it a steady diet of it.

    I am absolutely mesmerized by the finish on this gun. I would be willing to be the nickel on this is shinier than the repros that are being made now. Makes me hunger for a Colt Python in the high gloss look.
