    Hello all.
When I bought my Mosin, I stumbled across 7.62x54r.net and it's a great resource to get up to speed on that great rifle. Anything similar for the new SKS owner(s)?

Two very good SKS Web sites.

Yes, especially the second one, but don't buy into everything that you read on the first one. This thread is one example of a series of postings (and encouragement!) that will make some of the folks here want to puke, cry, or both. From nice, original, 1956 Jianshe with trench art ... to Bubba deluxe ... in a few easy lessons. It's a freakin' textbook example of everything NOT to do to a rifle ... sanding the stock, wire brushing the metal, you name it ... he did it ... and he got approval for doing so.

Oh God, Stuff like that is precisely the reason why I collect historical firearms...so pieces of history cannot be ruined by bubba and those who only care about something "that looks purdy"
