Has anyone handled this one yet?
The specs look like standard 1911 fare, but I'll defer to the 1911 experts before I look further.

It's nice looking... I'm not into the external extractor and GI thumb safety though. I like the front and rear strap work. You don't see that many railed 1911s either, so it's nice to see another option on the market. I haven't shot it so I can't say if it's worth what they're asking and I'm not an "expert" by any means. I do feel that Sigs are generally overpriced, so hopefully this isn't just a Springfield Loaded with a rail and GI thumb safety that costs 400 bucks more. :D

Sig 1911s are clones of Colt 1911s except for a few minor changes.

I like the sound of that.
I have a P226 Navy that has been flawless, so I would hope that their 1911 was the same.

I had my eye on a Smith and Wesson 1911, but this one gives me pause...

Sweet looking piece. I'm hearing and reading the continuous issues with 1911's and it's deterring me from purchasing one. If you get this let us know how it shoots.
